Getting Physical - Zinedine Zidane

I am one of millions of football fans with a passion for the World Game. I played football and basketball since I was a kid, and always loved both sports (among others). I believe that football thrives beyond the English Premier League, Italian Serie A, French Ligue, Spanish Primera Liga, German Bundesliga, and countless Cups around the World. If I am not writing, you can find me in the field or the court kicking, juggling, dribbling, and kicking like there's no tomorrow.

Zinedine Zidane

Although Zinedine Zidane can never reverse an unfavorable exit in the FIFA World Cup Finals, he is still one of the most impressing players in the world of football. Zidane or Zizou is a retired French midfielder who has had diverse playing experiences in France, Italy and Spain.

Zizou could have won his second World Cup, yet unexpected circumstances arose and sent the Frenchman out of the field for good. Yet it was a terrific season for Zizou. After being suspended on yellow cards, Zizou helped Patrick Vieira to score a goal against Spain, who were eliminated from the tournament. He also set up Thierry Henry for a shot from the corner which eliminated world cup giants Brazil. Zizou’s talent and success will always be admired around the world. Zizou helped France win the 1998 FIFA World Cup. He also helped France win the Euro 2000, and the UEFA Champions League in 2002 with Real Madrid. His finesse and agility has captured milions of football fans, has inspired many football players as well.
