I am one of millions of football fans with a passion for the World Game. I played football and basketball since I was a kid, and always loved both sports (among others). I believe that football thrives beyond the English Premier League, Italian Serie A, French Ligue, Spanish Primera Liga, German Bundesliga, and countless Cups around the World. If I am not writing, you can find me in the field or the court kicking, juggling, dribbling, and kicking like there's no tomorrow.

Recalling Spud Webb

Anthony Jerome Webb or better known as Spud Webb is one of the smallest players to ever play in the NBA.

Standing at a height of 5 foot 6 inches or 168 cm, this player is not to be underestimated. He possess lightning speed and flashing moves. Spud Webb played his first six seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, yet his best years were played with the Sacramento Kings. Spud Webb also the shortest person to win the NBA Slam Dunk Contest in 1986. He surprised the whole world, even his teammates and everyone in the NBA. He did an elevator two-handed double pump dunk, the one-handed off the backboard one-handed jam, a 36- degree helicopter one-handed dunk, a 180-degree reverse double pump slam, and a 180-degree reverse two-handed strawberry jam from a lob bounce off the floor. It was a great accomplishment for Spudd Webb, also due to the fact that he beat Dominique Wilkins, who was the defending slam dunk champion.

Spudd Webb will always be remembered in the NBA as one of the greatest smallest players.
