I am one of millions of football fans with a passion for the World Game. I played football and basketball since I was a kid, and always loved both sports (among others). I believe that football thrives beyond the English Premier League, Italian Serie A, French Ligue, Spanish Primera Liga, German Bundesliga, and countless Cups around the World. If I am not writing, you can find me in the field or the court kicking, juggling, dribbling, and kicking like there's no tomorrow.

Technology In Football

Ben Foster’s name rose in headlines after the controversial win of Machester United against Tottenham in the Carling Cup. With the help of an iPod, The Manchester United Goalkeeper propelled his team to win the Carling Cup at the Wembley Stadium. The 25 year-old goalie allegedly watched videos of Tottenham players taking spotkicks on the iPod in the field just before the penalty shoot-out.

As a result, Foster was able to make a crucial save from Jamie O’Hara, which won them the cup. Foster also admitted that he used the iPod, stating that the videos were an innovation instilled by the Eric Steele, the Reds’ latest goalkeeping coach. According to FIFA, the use of such technology such as the iPod was not against the laws of the game. As a result, the Football world has been enlightened on the use of technology in the field, thanks to Ben Foster.
