Getting Physical

I am one of millions of football fans with a passion for the World Game. I played football and basketball since I was a kid, and always loved both sports (among others). I believe that football thrives beyond the English Premier League, Italian Serie A, French Ligue, Spanish Primera Liga, German Bundesliga, and countless Cups around the World. If I am not writing, you can find me in the field or the court kicking, juggling, dribbling, and kicking like there's no tomorrow.

Play On

The best two words that I have ever learned in football, that I can apply in life is to just play on. No matter what happens in the field, you have to continue playing, as you have to continue living in life.

When you get receive a small foul, ignore it since the perfect call does not exist. But when you get shoved or whacked in the head, play on. Just like in life where you have to move forward despite getting struck by crisis. When you commit a small foul, ignore it. But when you commit a flagrant foul, play on. Apologize, and learn from it, just like learning your mistakes in life. When you lose a game by a point, ignore it. But when you lose the World Cup finals, play on. Acknowledge defeat, yet rise again, just like standing up whenever you fail in life.

No matter what happens, whenver you are defeated in your own pride, get over yourself and play on.
