I am one of millions of football fans with a passion for the World Game. I played football and basketball since I was a kid, and always loved both sports (among others). I believe that football thrives beyond the English Premier League, Italian Serie A, French Ligue, Spanish Primera Liga, German Bundesliga, and countless Cups around the World. If I am not writing, you can find me in the field or the court kicking, juggling, dribbling, and kicking like there's no tomorrow.

Argentina’s Greatest

Diego Armando Maradona has been Argentina’s greatest football player. He has impressed the whole world when he helped his country win the 1986 FIFA World Cup.

Maradona had a very athletic body and a low center of gravity that allowed him to effectively run the field. He has great passing especially crosses from the left wing. Although he was short, his strong built allowed him to break defenders, make great passes and score goals. He has scored a total of 321 goals while playing for Argentina, the Spanish and Italian Leagues. Maradona has also received many honors. He has won the 1981 championship for Boca Raton Juniors in 1981. He has also won the 1983 Copa del Rey, 1983 Copa de la Liga, and 1983 Spanish Super Cup for Barcelona; the 1987 and 1990 Serie A, 1987 Coppa Italia, 1988 Capocannoniere, 1989 UEFA Cup, and 1990 Italian Super Cup for Napoli.

Maradona is one of the greatest influences not only in Argentine football, but in the whole world.
